Accessing the Post Generation Feature
To start creating LinkedIn posts:
- Click the LiGo extension icon in your browser toolbar
- In the sidebar that appears, select the "Write Post" tab at the top
That's it! You're now ready to create content.
Entering Your Post Idea
The extension gives you two easy ways to input your ideas:
Text Input
- Click in the text field where it says "Enter your post idea..."
- Type a brief description of what you want to post about
- This can be a simple topic, a rough draft, or just a concept
Voice Input
- Click the microphone icon in the bottom right of the text field
- Speak your post idea clearly
- The system will transcribe your speech into text
Pro Tip: You don't need to write a complete post-just provide enough context for the AI to understand your topic. A few words or a short sentence is often enough.
Selecting Post Length
To customize the length of your generated post:
- Click the dropdown under "Choose Post Length"
- Select your preferred length:
- Short (under 100 words)
- Medium (100 to 200 words)
- Long (200+ words)
The optimal length depends on your content type and audience preferences. Medium length typically performs well for most LinkedIn content.
Generating Your Post
Once you've entered your idea and selected a length:
- Click the blue "Generate Post" button at the bottom
- The extension will process your request
- You'll be presented with multiple post variations
Note: Generation typically takes 5-15 seconds depending on your connection and the complexity of your request.
Reviewing Generated Variants
After generation, you'll see six different post variants:
- 3 posts in your default style (based on your custom style pack)
- 3 posts in LiGo's optimized style
Each variant offers a different approach to your topic while maintaining the core message.
Using Your Generated Post
Once you've reviewed the variants:
- Select the post variation you prefer
- Copy the content to your clipboard
- Paste directly into LinkedIn
- Or click the "Edit" button to make further refinements
Pro Tip: You can regenerate posts if none of the initial options meet your needs. Simply click back to the input screen and try again with slightly more specific guidance.
Common Questions
How detailed should my post idea be?
Just a few words or a short sentence is usually enough. The AI will expand on your concept. For more specific outputs, provide a bit more detail about the angle you want to take.
Can I save generated posts for later?
Currently, posts aren't automatically saved in the extension. Copy preferred options to a text editor if you want to save them for future use.
Will my posts sound like me?
Posts generated in "your style" will match the voice of your default style pack. To ensure posts sound authentic, create custom style packs with examples of your writing.
