Managing your LiGo subscription is simple and straightforward. This guide walks you through accessing your billing information, changing plans, updating payment methods, and troubleshooting common billing issues.

Accessing Billing & Subscription

To manage your subscription:

  1. Log in to your LiGo account
  2. From the left sidebar navigation, click on "Billing" under the ACCOUNT section
  3. The Billing & Subscription page will load, showing your current plan and payment details

Understanding Your Current Plan

The Billing & Subscription page displays several key pieces of information:

Current Plan Information

  • Plan Name: Your active subscription (Free Trial, Standard, or Pro)
  • Billing Period: Monthly billing cycle information
  • Next Billing Date: When your next payment will be processed
  • Payment Method: The card or payment method on file

Subscription Details

The page also shows a breakdown of features included in your current plan, organized by category:

  • Content Creation: Post ideas, AI posts, and theme limits
  • Chrome Extension: Post and comment generation limits
  • Analytics & Insights: Data history and chat capabilities

Upgrading Your Subscription

To upgrade from Free Trial to a paid plan, or from Standard to Pro:

  1. Navigate to the Billing & Subscription page
  2. Review the available plans displayed below your current plan
  3. Click on the plan you wish to upgrade to
  4. Review the plan details and pricing
  5. Click "Upgrade" to confirm your selection
  6. Complete any payment information if prompted
  7. You'll receive a confirmation of your upgrade

Note: When upgrading, you'll typically get immediate access to the higher plan's features. Your billing date will adjust accordingly.

Downgrading Your Subscription

If you need to downgrade from Pro to Standard:

  1. Navigate to the Billing & Subscription page
  2. Click "Downgrade" next to your current plan
  3. Select the plan you wish to downgrade to
  4. Confirm your choice when prompted
  5. You'll receive a confirmation of the downgrade

Important: When downgrading, your current plan remains active until the end of your billing cycle. The new plan takes effect on your next billing date.

Updating Payment Information

To update your credit card or payment details:

  1. On the Billing & Subscription page, locate your payment method information
  2. Click on the payment method entry
  3. Enter your new credit card information
  4. Click "Save" to update your payment method

Pro Tip: Keep your payment information current to avoid any interruption in service. LiGo will send email reminders if your payment method is about to expire.

Canceling Your Subscription

If you need to cancel your LiGo subscription:

  1. Navigate to the Billing & Subscription page
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription" at the bottom of your current plan section
  3. Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation
  4. You'll receive a confirmation email

Important Notes:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing cycle
  • You'll retain access to all features until the subscription expires
  • You can reactivate your subscription at any time before the end of your billing cycle
  • Pricing Grandfathering: If you cancel, you'll lose your current pricing and be charged current market rates if you resubscribe later.

Verifying Subscription Changes

After making any changes to your subscription:

  1. Refresh the Billing & Subscription page
  2. Verify that your current plan shows the correct information
  3. Check that the next billing date is accurate
  4. Confirm that your payment method is current

Understanding Billing Cycles

LiGo operates on a monthly subscription model:

  • Your billing date is determined by when you first subscribed
  • Charges occur automatically on your billing date each month
  • Plan changes (upgrades/downgrades) take effect on your next billing date
  • Usage limits reset on your billing date

Pro Tip: Plan your subscription changes strategically. If you're approaching your billing date and have used most of your monthly allocations, consider upgrading before renewal to get immediate access to more resources.

Handling Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Your account status will show "Payment Required" on the Billing page
  3. Update your payment information as soon as possible
  4. LiGo will attempt to process the payment again

If payment issues persist for more than 3 days, your account may be temporarily downgraded until payment is processed.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Subscription Not Updating After Change

If your subscription doesn't reflect a recent change:

  1. First, refresh the Billing page to ensure you're seeing the most current data
  2. Allow up to 15 minutes for changes to fully process in the system
  3. Clear your browser cache and log in again
  4. If issues persist, contact Support through the Help button

Payment Declined

If your payment is declined:

  1. Verify your card details are correct
  2. Ensure your card hasn't expired
  3. Check with your bank for any restrictions on subscriptions
  4. Try an alternative payment method if available

Unexpected Charges

If you see charges you don't recognize:

  1. Check your billing history on the Billing page
  2. Verify the date and amount against your billing cycle
  3. Remember that upgrades may cause immediate prorated charges

When will my new plan take effect after upgrading?

Upgrades typically take effect immediately, giving you instant access to additional features.

Will I get a refund if I downgrade or cancel mid-month?

LiGo doesn't offer prorated refunds for downgrading or cancellation. Your current plan remains active until the end of your billing cycle.

How do I get an invoice for my subscription?

Invoices are automatically emailed to your registered email address. You can also view billing history on the Billing page.

Can I temporarily pause my subscription?

Currently, LiGo doesn't offer a pause feature. You can cancel and resubscribe when needed, but this will reset your billing date.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Your data remains intact when downgrading, but you may lose access to historical analytics beyond what the new plan offers.

What is LiGo's pricing grandfathering policy?
